3 men sought in armed robbery at Ogontz mini market

Philadelphia police are searching for three men they say were involved in a robbery at a mini market in Ogontz last week.

The robbery occurred around 11:15 a.m. Thursday, August 9 at the Yashley Mini Market at 6001 Ogontz Avenue.

Police say three suspects entered the store and two of the men held the cashier at gunpoint. Meanwhile, the third suspect removed cash from the register and placed approximately $200 inside a black plastic bag.

All three suspects then fled the store on foot. They were last seen on Church Lane, heading towards 19th Street.

Investigators say all three suspects were armed with handguns.

The suspects have been described by police as black males, all wearing masks.
