5-year-old shot inside Germantown home

GERMANTOWN (WTXF) - A 5-year-old was shot inside a Germantown home Sunday evening.

The incident occurred inside a private home in the 1300 block of Rittenhouse Street at 6:20pm.

According to officials, a 5-year-old black male suffered a gunshot wound to his left hand.

He was taken by private vehicle to Einstein Hospital and placed in stable condition.

No one has been arrested; however the weapon has been recovered. Police say at this time the shooting seems accidental.
