Blown transformer knocks out power near City Hall
CENTER CITY (WTXF) - A blown transformer caused a power outage near Philadelphia's City Hall Thursday morning.
According to PECO, the power went out on the east side of City Hall, though the building's tower was still lit.
Traffic lights and lights poles were among the structures that lost power when the transformer blew shortly before midnight.
PECO crews were working to restore power into the morning Thursday.
