Couple's Online Search for Icelandic Engagement Photo Pays Off

Iceland (STORYFUL/WTXF) A couple who got engaged while on holiday in Iceland, November 28, were dismayed when they accidentally passed along the wrong contact details to a passer-by who had snapped an impromptu photograph of the proposal on a picturesque snow-covered Reykjavik street called Skólavörðustígur.

Michael John Kent, from Edinburgh, Scotland, posted a plea on Facebook for help in contacting the woman again.

Through an extensive search on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, Kent finally got back in touch with JR Bowe who had posted the photo to Instagram. Kent described his joy at finding the photographer.

The proposal photo was taken by Bowe and posted to Instagram, which shows the striking Hallgrímskirkja church in the background.
