Delaware police charge, search for suspect in teen's death

BRIDGEVILLE, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police are searching for a man charged in the shooting death of an 18-year-old.

A state police release says 31-year-old Jared C. Mitchell, of Greenwood, was charged Friday with first-degree murder, reckless endangering and two counts each of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a person prohibited.

The release says troopers were told Thursday an injured teen had been dropped off at a hospital by a private vehicle.

Troopers arrived at a hospital and found Tavyon M. Sykes dead from gunshot wounds.
