Former First Lady Michelle Obama surprises students in Philadelphia

Former First Lady Michelle Obama is in Philadelphia as part of her book tour promoting her memoir entitled 'Becoming.' She'll be at the Well Fargo Center talking about her book and her personal journey.

But first, Michelle Obama made a stop Thursday afternoon at the African American Museum to chat with some Philadelphia high school girls and they had absolutely no idea she was coming. It was a complete surprise.

The 12 lucky young women are from 'Be Girl World', which is a global education and travel organization that empowers young girls to become citizens of the world.

The 15 and 16 year old girls had a chance to tell Michelle Obama about themselves and ask her questions.

The former First Lady dished out some advice as well, including the importance of standing up for yourself.

Each of the girls got a big hug from her and a copy of her book.
