Guy Fieri serves up meals, kindness to wildfire first responders
BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. (KTVU) - Once again, celebrity chef and Northern California native Guy Fieri cooked up nourishment and kindness to wildfire first responders.
Fieri made a surprise visit to the law enforcement staging area at Butte College over the weekend, to feed tired and hungry first responders at the deadly Camp Fire in Butte County.
The Butte County Sheriff posted a photos of Guy Fierri feeding the crews with the caption, "Thank you so much Guy for filling our bellies and lifting our spirits."
Fieri not only filled bellies - he also inspired others.
Brenden Price of Chico responded to the photos on the Facebook page saying, "Food has such an incredible power to show love and therefore heal. Thank you, Guy, Butte County Sheriff, and thank you Salvation Army. You're inspiring to others that want to give what they can."
If Fieri stepping up to help out fire victims sounds familiar, it should. In July he helped evacuees of the Carr Fire. Before that, the Santa Rosa native carried out a similar act of kindness in October of 2017 for those impacted by the Wine Country Fires.
