Home Invasion Suspect Shoots Self in Leg, Taken Into Custody

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - At least one man is in custody this morning following an overnight home invasion on the 2500 block of North Bancroft Street in North Philadelphia.

Police say just before midnight two masked men broke into a home and had guns.

A woman inside at the time says one of the men accidently shot himself in the leg.

At that point, both men took off.

Police say the man that shot himself is in police custody and in the hospital recovering.
