I-76 reopened after second fatal motorcycle crash Thursday

PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - I-76 has reopened in both directions after a second fatal motorcycle accident late Thursday night.

The crash happened just before 10:30 p.m. in the eastbound lanes near Girard Avenue.

Police say a motorcyclist lost control and was fatally struck by another vehicle.

Eastbound lanes at Montgomery Drive and westbound lanes at Girard Avenue were closed most of the night.

The crash came several hours after an early morning crash on Thursday claimed the life of another motorcyclist in University City, closing the roadway for several hours.
