Local boy honors fallen firefighters

Levittown, Pa. (WTXF) A local championship little racer is honoring fallen firefighters.

8-year-old Bobby Klein is a quarter midget race car driver. About a month ago, he put a blue stripe on his race car to honor Dallas police officers. This week he is honoring fallen firefighters.

Bobby had the need for speed ever since he was a toddler. His favorite race car driver of all time is Jeff Gordon.

"He started at 5-year-old, it's discipline, every one of these kids does a great job," said his father, Chuck.

His parents, Donna and Chuck, have trained themselves to have nerves of steel each time Bobby revs that engine.

"Every time he races my heart is in my throat,"said his father.

Bobby's parents just want him to have fun, but like any true competitor his love of racing comes from within.

"He puts his heart and soul into it it's tough for him," said his father. "This is being a NASCAR driver for him that's what he wants to be when he grows up."
