Local photographer hopes to find camera with wedding photos
Allentown, Pa. (WTXF) - When a wedding is over everyone turns to the professional photos to keep the memories alive. But one couple is out of luck because their photos are missing. Now, the Allentown photographer is hoping you can help track them down.
Lynn Miller sorts through photos of her niece's destination wedding, recalling the love and togetherness shared in Cozumel, Mexico.
"Right on the beach, almost at sunset. It couldn't have been more perfect," she said. "She was absolutely beautiful. He was handsome and just two young kids that are in love, starting their life."
But these were shot on her cell phone. She's missing the formal pictures she took and thinking about it is unbearable.
"I was the photographer and so it was on me to capture the moment and they're gone. So yeah, I'm very emotional about it."
Miller, an amateur photographer, says she took the high-quality wedding pictures on a Fugifilm Finepix S100fs, but lost the camera and SD card somewhere on her way back home.
"I don't know if it traveled on a plane for a few more stops, if it's in the luggage are, if somebody just saw it and picked up and walked away with it. I have no idea where it's at."
Miller says the family already had to move the wedding from St. Martin because of a hurricane.
Now to have that special day and lose her cherished photos hurts even more.
"I called the airline, I called the hotel, I called the shuttle bus, I called the airport in hopes I would get good news and not have to tell them. But I finally told them on Tuesday so I could start posting on social media and try to maybe hopefully find it."
If by chance you know where the camera is she says, "Please bring us our memories back. It's her special day and I'd just really like to have her special day back."
