Man arrested in connection to 2010 Wilmington cold case murder

A 36-year-old man has been arrested in a Wilmington cold case murder that occurred in May 2010.

According to a press release, continuous investigative efforts by Wilmington Police resulted in the extradition and arrest of 36-year-old Erik McNeely from Maryland.

McNeely has been arrested and charged with murder in the first degree and two counts of attempted murder in the first degree in connection to the May 1, 2010 homicide of Abel Jimenez-Flores.

The incident occurred on the 600 block of S. Franklin Street.

He was committed to the Howard Young Correctional facility in lieu of $1.5 million dollars cash bail.
