Man leaving takeout restaurant shot in Southwest Philly

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - A 44-year-old man is in critical condition after being shot multiple times in Southwest Philadelphia overnight.

Officers responded to 54th Street and Woodland Avenue just after midnight. Police say the victim walked out of a Chinese restaurant and sat down on his bike when a man confronted him, firing five shots.

Investigators are reviewing surveillance video and questioning witnesses to determine what sparked the shooting.

No arrests have been made at this time.
