Man shot outside crowded home in Logan

PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) Police say at least eight shots were fired, two of them into a house, just after 10:30 p.m. Tuesday night in the city's Logan section.

Broken glass is still littering the landing after a bullet went through the front door. Another, shot went through a window into the living room. A dozen people were in the house at the time.

According to police, among those in the house were four children under the age of six, including a baby.

Police believe there was an intended target. A 24-year-old man was arriving from a restaurant when he was shot. Police aren't sure if the gunman was driving or walking by.

"I heard a couple little gunshots. I hear gunshots every day so I don't know if somebody was shooting in the air or not, but then I came to the corner, and I saw somebody laying down," one witness told FOX 29.

But police say the man hit didn't wait around for an ambulance. It turns out that this shooting victim ran about three blocks from where he was shot to Einstein Hospital, according to investigators.

He was conscious after being shot twice in the right arm. However, police still unsure of a motive say, the victim is not cooperating.

According to neighbors, gunfire in the area is not unusual.
