Man wanted for assault, robbery, theft

Delaware State Police are asking for help catching a man wanted for several crimes, the latest at about 4am Wednesday.

They say Devontae L. Massey, of Laurel, assaulted a 29-year-old woman in the parking lot of the Greenwood Inn on Sussex Highway and got away before police showed up.

Earlier this month, on July 6, Massey is accused of crimes against a 22-year-old man who'd just left the Five Points Liquor Store on Seaford Road.

Police say he asked for a cigarette and the victim complied.

Then, he followed the victim, asked for another cigarette and the victim again complied.

Then, he asked for a dollar and when the victim took out his wallet, Massey snatched it.

He two fought but Massey got away.

The victim wasn't hurt.

Massey, 24, was identified through tips and an investigation. He's wanted for robbery and theft for the earlier incidents, and 3rd degree assault in the Wednesday morning incident.
