Mother and daughter jump from window to escape house fire

Overbrook (WTXF) - Police say a mother and her young daughter are safe this morning after they jumped from a two-story window to escape a fire.

It happened on Saturday just after midnight on the 1400 block of N. 61st St.

According to police, the mother and her toddler were not hurt from the impact of the jump were taken to Hahnemann hospital for significant burns. Both are in stable condition.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
