Mural at Free Library branch honors fallen firefighter

LAWNCREST (WTXF) - A Philadelphia firefighter has been honored for making the ultimate sacrifice.

Lt. Joyce Craig was killed while fighting a house fire back in December, 2014.

Saturday, almost two years later, people gathered in Lawncrest to paint a mural in her memory.

First responders were also on hand, discussing fire safety tips.

The mural for Lt. Craig will be on the north facade of the Lawncrest branch of the Free Library, 6098 Rising Sun Avenue.
