New Castle County Police search for missing 14-year-old

Wilmington, Del. (WTXF) - New Castle County Police say they are searching for a missing 14-year-old girl who was last seen at a group home last month.

According to police, officers responded to the Terry Shelter in Wilmington, Del. on Thursday, August 18 th for the report of four missing teens after a staff member reported they walked away from the facility.

Three other teens have been located, but 14-year-old Mia Harris is still missing. Police say she has been in contact with friends via social media, but police are still attempting to locate her.

Mia is described as an African-American girl, 5'7'' tall, weighing approximately 145 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a gray tank top, black jeans and black converse sneakers. Police believe she may be in the city of Wilmington, but has ties to the Dover area.
