New Jersey Quick Check sells only winning Mega Millions ticket

A New Jersey convenience store sold the only winning Mega Millions lottery ticket for Friday night's drawing, a lottery release reports.

The Quick Check on 600 New Brunswick Avenue in Phillipsburg sold the ticket carrying a $265 million jackpot. However, due to taxes, the winner will "only" receive $159 million.

The winning numbers on the ticket were 29, 33, 39, 60, 66. The Gold Mega Ball number was 21 and the Megaplier was 2.

A Bergen, New Jersey area deli also sold a $10,000 winning ticket.

"We encourage the winner to sign the back of the ticket, make a copy of both sides and put it in a safe place, and contact Lottery Headquarters to arrange to file a claim for this "MEGA" jackpot prize," said a lottery spokesperson.

Winners have one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.

The next Mega Millions drawing will be held on March 5th. The jackpot currently sits at $40 million.
