New Jersey State Police searching for boat hit-and-run suspect

New Jersey State Police are asking for the public's help in finding the operator in a hit-and-run boat crash.

The incident occurred on Saturday at Lake Hopatcong at Woodport Cove near Mason Street Pub in Jefferson Township at 10:00 p.m.

The boat operator struck another boat and left the location without stopping.

The crash resulted in extensive damage to the victim's boat, and two of the five passengers on the boat were treated for minor injuries.

The striking boat is described as a large, white cabin boat with an aluminum prop, and it should have damage to the hull and prop.

A suspect has not been identified.
