NJ counties suffer damage after Saturday storms

A severe thunderstorm warning went into effect for several Philadelphia and nearing counties early Saturday evening.

Montgomery, Chester, Philadelphia, Berks, and Delaware counties in PA as well as New Castle, Delaware have a severe thunderstorm warning at 5:18 p.m. through 6:03 p.m.

In Camden, many residents were impacted with falling trees from the events.

The dangerous heat continued for yet another day Saturday, as the area faces the longest heat wave of the season.

During the day, Saturday was hot and extremely humid, similar to the last several days. High temperatures topped out in the low 90s.

Some late day or evening thunderstorms or showers are also expected. The highest chance for those storms will come after 5 p.m. as storms likely move in from the west.
