NJ police, firefighters rescue dog from icy pond

HOPEWELL TWP., N.J. (WTXF) - Police officers and firefighters in Hopewell Township came to the rescue after a dog fell through some ice and into a pond.

The dog, named Nisel, could not get back out. As others held one end of a rope, Officer Robert Voorhees wrapped the other end around himself and carefully crawled to the edge of the ice.

Nisel swam towards the officer, and he grabbed her by her collar, pulling her to safety.

Now, Nisel is doing just fine and happily back with her family.
