Obama to Address Nation Sunday Night
PHILADELPHIA- WTXF - President Obama will deliver a prime time address from the White House Sunday night in order to address national security, in the wake of the San Bernardino massacre Wednesday. The attack, the FBI said Friday, is now being investigated by the federal government as an act of terrorism.
Obama will speak from the Oval Office, at 8 p.m. Sunday.
According to the White House announcement, the president "will provide an update on the ongoing investigation into the tragic attack in San Bernardino. He will also discuss the broader threat of terrorism -- including the nature of the threat, how it has evolved, and how we will defeat it."
Obama will also reiterate the need to destroy ISIS, while also drawing upon "our values -- our unwavering commitment to justice, equality, and freedom -- to prevail over terrorist groups that use violence to advance a destructive ideology."
