Overbrook fire displaces mother, kids

Overbrook (WTXF) - Police battled a fire on the 5700 block of Malvern Avenue late Friday night.

According to officials, a mother and her two kids lived in the home and were displaced during the fire.

Police say the flames started in the basement and spread to the first and second floors/

Firefighters had the blaze out in under an hour.

There were no injuries, according to officials, but two other homes on the block suffered minor damage.
