Pedestrian struck and killed by SUV in Maple Shade

Route 73 in New Jersey was shut down early Sunday morning after a pedestrian was struck by an SUV overnight.

Police say that person died at the scene.

It happened around 2 a.m. in Maple Shade Township right outside the Clover Motel.

Police have not yet identified the victim or the driver.

The road was reopened around 7 a.m.
