Police: Body found on street in North Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Police are investigating after a man was found dead on the street in North Philadelphia on Saturday morning.

Authorities say that the body of a 55-year-old man was discovered by a passerby on the 2300 block of West Clearfield Street shortly after 7 a.m.

Paramedics arrived on scene and pronounced the man dead.

The cause of death is unkown.

This is an ongoing investigation.
