Police ID pedestrian struck, killed on highway in Burlington Co.
EDGEWATER PARK, N.J. (WTXF) - In Burlington County, a pedestrian was struck and killed while walking along the highway in Edgewater Park Tuesday night.
Twenty-five-year-old Jacob Williams, of Westampton Township, was trying to cross from the northbound side of Route 130 to the southbound side against a red traffic light around 10 p.m. when he was struck by a red Chevrolet S10 pickup truck.
The impact sent Williams into the center lane, at which point he was struck by a white Chevrolet van.
Both drivers remained on the scene.
Williams succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. No charges are being filed against either driver of the vehicles involved at this time.
This is an ongoing investigation.
