Police in South Philadelphia investigate possible parental abduction

Police in South Philadelphia are investigating a possible parental abduction of a child from a foster mother.

Authorities say a 911 call was placed by a woman on the 3000 block of Moore Street Sunday, just after 12:15 p.m.

The woman told 911 dispatch that her foster child, an 11-year-old boy, had been taken by the child's biological mother.

Police say the boy was last seen wearing a gray sweatsuit and gray sneakers.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the boy or the biological mother to call police at 215-686-3170 or call 911.
