Police: Man killed, woman critical after being shot inside car in West Philly

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Philadelphia police are investigating after a shooting that left a 27-year-old man dead and a 25-year-old woman hospitalized.

Police responded to Girard Avenue just after 6 p.m. on Saturday. Upon their arrival, they found a man who was shot in the head and chest while sitting inside a 2001 black Dodge Neon stopped at a red light. The man, who police later identified as Ryan Wilson of Forest Avenue, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials say a woman, who was also found in the vehicle. was shot multiple times and taken to the hospital in critical condition. Her name has not been released.

No arrests have been made at this time.
