Police: Man posing as an off-duty officer detained 2 women

Police say a man posing as an off-duty officer detained 2 women and stole their cell phones.

The incident happened on Wednesday, February 21 at around 7 p.m.

Warminster Police responded to the 900 block of W Street Road on a report of a suspicious person.

Officers were met by Eric Miller, 26, of Bensalem. Miller claimed to be an off-duty police officer assigned as a Special United States Marshall.

Miller had 2 adult females stopped for investigation. He claimed that he had stopped them for a motor vehicle violation and believed them to be drug users.

Through investigation, police determined that Miller was not a police officer.

The police investigation also determined that Miller had patted down the females and detained them for a period of time, during which he took their cell phones and other property as well as property from a local store.

Police say Miller was operating a black Honda Civic bearing Pa. registration.

Miller was arrested for multiple counts of kidnap, robbery, stalking and other related charges. He was arraigned and sent to Bucks County Prison.
