Police: Red light runner killed in Broad St. crash
SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - One person was killed in an early morning crash on Broad Street in South Philadelphia.
Police say a Honda Accord heading westbound on Washington Avenue ran a red light and struck a Kia heading southbound on Broad Street.
The Honda's driver knocked down a traffic pole and a fire hydrant, and the car ended up on a sidewalk.
He was taken to the hospital but later died. Tuesday, police identified him as 29-year-old Antwaine Devoe.
You can see both cars sustained major damage.
Police say the driver of the Kia is listed in stable condition.
