Police search for alleged peeper around Temple University
PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Police say a man was peeping through a female college student's window just a few blocks from Temple University. Police are now releasing a video hoping you can help identify the alleged North 15th Street peeper.
The victim told police she was in her bedroom changing when she saw a man and what appeared to be the flash of a camera through her window. It happened around 10:30 p.m. Monday night. She told investigators that she had a similar experience last month. Police want this alleged peeper caught before he acts again. Students are on edge.
"That's just really unsettling to hear, especially since we weren't notified about it. I had no idea until talking to you," said Temple University senior Liz Forcellini.
The victim shared a different surveillance clip with FOX 29 earlier this week which appears to show the alleged peeper and a flash. The woman told police she saw the man snap a photo of her. Now police are hoping you see this photo of the suspect and help them catch him.
"Just be aware of your surroundings. We don't know if the complainant has a connection to this person or not," said Philadelphia Police Lt. John Stanford.
"Close the blinds and be more aware. I would've never thought someone would be looking in on us like that," said Temple University senior Courtney Schroding.
