Police searching for home invasion suspect in Milford

Delaware State Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect involved in a home invasion that happened south of Milford early Friday morning.

The incident occurred around 3:34 a.m. at a residence on the 10000 block of Rust Road on September 30.

According to a press release, a man entered the rear door of the home and confronted a 62-year-old man and his 48-year-old wife armed with a handgun and threatening to do harm to both.

The husband and wife along with a 28-year-old man who lives in the house went into a master bedroom and locked the door.

The 62-year-old called 911 and upon the troopers' arrival, all of the occupants of the home were safely evacuated.

A search of the home and property were unsuccessful in locating the suspect. None of the victims were injured.

The suspect is described as a black male, 20-30 years of age, 5'9"-5'10", 160-165 pounds, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and a red mask over his face.
