POLICE: West Chester Contractor arrested for fraud
TREDYFFRIN TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WTXF) - Police have arrested a man who they say scammed multiple people out of thousands of dollars in fraud.
According to Tredyffrin Police, an investigation began in March when a total of 14 victims reported they had given a contractor a combined total of over $400,000 as down payments for home renovation work that was never completed.
After a thorough investigation, detectives arrested 40-year-old Michael Sheehan from West Chester, Pa. with 14 counts of felony theft and fraud related charges.
Police say Sheehan was operating the business Element Kitchen & Bath in Paoli Pa. which is no longer in business.
On Thursday, Officials say Sheehan voluntarily arrived at Tredyffrin Township Police to be processed and arranged.
Sheehan's preliminary hearing will take place on November 2.
