Police: Woman arrested after stabbing at Delaware hotel
NEWARK, Del. (AP) - Police say a stabbing occurred at a Delaware hotel in a fight involving a housekeeper, apparently over cleaning supplies.
Delaware State Police announced Sunday the arrest of 42-year-old Doris Harris of New Castle. She was charged with assault and possession of a deadly weapon while committing a felony, and was behind bars in default of a $35,000 bond.
Troopers say they arrived at the Extended Stay America Hotel in Newark on Saturday to find another woman in an employee break room who had been stabbed.
According to police, Harris says she was cleaning a guest room when the victim accused her of stealing cleaning solution, leading to a fight and Harris grabbing a kitchen knife. The woman stabbed was taken to a hospital for a non-life-threatening injury.
