Power restored to thousands as nor'easter cleanup continues

Energy companies have been working around the clock to restore power to Philadelphia and surrounding areas. The number of outages has dropped from 50,000 yesterday to 6,700 this morning.

Residents around the Philadelphia area are still feeling the effects of Wednesday's nor'easter that brought heavy snow as thousands remain without power.

The storm swept throughout the Delaware Valley leaving downed power lines, fallen trees, and a lot to deal with on the roads. Some areas received as much as a foot of snow while the city saw up to 6 inches in some areas.

FOX 29's Jennifer Joyce was in Bucks County Friday morning where residents were starting to get their power back. Pennsbury School District in Falls Township also announced it would reopen Friday after their schools' power was also restored.
