Residence fire claims one life in Fox Chase

FOX CHASE, Pa. (WTXF) - A woman was pronounced dead at the scene of a fire at as residence on Verree Road in the Northeast.

The fire call came just before 6:30 p.m. February 17. When firefighters arrived, they found heavy flames pouring out of the the dwelling.

The woman was found on the second story of the residence.

Two firefighters were transported to Aria Torresdale Hospital and are being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Firefighters were able to place the fire under control just before 8 p.m. The cause of the fire is unknown.
