School principals from all over roll up sleeves, prep new playground

School is suspended for the summer, so what are principals to do?

In Delaware County, they're getting together to give children a cool new place to play outside.

More than 100 principals gathered at Stonehurst Hills Elementary in Upper Darby on Saturday.

They're in town for the National Association of Elementary School Principals' 2017 conference.

During recess from the conference, they spent time on the playground like anyone else, but created a great new play area.

"I think the most amazing thing for me is that it's other principals," said Stonehurst Hills principal Aaronda Beauford. "They know what it is to want this for your kids, and it means that much more for me."

Community members and school staff participated first, getting everything ready.

Landscape Structures made the project possible with a $30,000 donation.

Seems like everyone deserves an A!
