Sixers center Joel Embiid to miss upcoming road trip with swelling in his left knee

PHILADELPHIA - The 76ers will continue to be without their All-Star center for several more games as the team announced Friday that Joel Embiid was experiencing swelling in his left knee.
Embiid has only played in 13 games this season, and the All-Star trio of Embiid, Paul George and Tyrese Maxey have played only 10 games together this season
The Sixers are 15-24 as of Friday, and are currently slotted a the 11th seed in the Eastern Conference.

The 76ers issued a press release Friday morning addressing Embiids latest injury setback. Having missed the last six games with a foot injury, the team says that he has recovered from that injury but is now experiencing swelling in his left knee.
As a result, the team says he will miss their entire upcoming road trip.
Embiid experienced the swelling after a workout on Thursday.
The team says that Embiid will receive additional treatment in the coming days and will be reevaluated in seven to 10 days.
Embiid has missed 26 games this season. The Sixers are 7-6 with Embiid and 8-18 without him.
What's next:
Head Coach Nick Nurse will be without Embiid for at least their next three games. That includes aturday’s game at Indiana, Sunday at Milwaukee at Tuesday at Denver.
