Suspect in custody in November murder of college student
PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Philadelphia Police have arrested and charged a man in connection with the death of a local college student last fall.
Police have charged David Grier, 22, in the death of 21-year-old Kierra Johnson, whose body was found in Cobbs Creek by a jogger last November.
Those who knew Johnson describe her as high-achieving, talented artist. She was an honor and dean's list student at the Hussian School of Art on Spring Garden Street in the city. Johnson was a member of the Class of 2019.

Th night before her body was found, Johnson's mother had reported her missing after she never returned home. The next day, a jogger came across her body and police found she had been strangled.
Grier has been charged with murder, robbery, and related offenses.
