Suspect in murder of former Playboy model appears in court
Ardmore, Pa. (WTXF) - The man suspected of murdering a former Playboy model in her Ardmore apartment last month was in court Friday. FOX 29 cameras were there as Jonathan Wesley Harris came out from his preliminary hearing Friday in Ardmore.
Police say former model Christina Carlin-Kraft was seen on surveillance video walking into her apartment with Harris on August 22nd. She was found dead the next day.
The attorney for Harris spoke briefly about the case.
"I know that the modern way of doing things in the law is to try the case on the courthouse steps," Attorney A. Charles Peruto Jr. said. "I watched Cosby and all these cases where lawyers give press conferences but there's so many intricate parts to this case that I'd rather reserve everything I wanna say to all of you for inside the courtroom because I don't want to pollute a jury pool. I don't wanna show my hand. I wanna play it close to the vest."
Harris is charged with first, second and third-degree murder, along with robbery and theft.
