Suspects sought for armed robbery of Frankford 7-Eleven

Police are searching for two suspects who they say robbed a Frankford 7-Eleven.

The incident took place on Sunday when police say two men entered the 7-Eleven located at 3967 Kensington Avenue.

The first suspect reportedly pulled a rifle from his waistband, announcing a robbery. Police say he ordered two employees down on the floor, demanding they open the safe.

After informing the suspect they do not have access to the safe, the suspect allegedly opened the cash register, taking $60, along with numerous packs of cigarettes valued at $1,600.

The suspects then reportedly forced the employees to the back office where they made the employees empty their pockets.

After taking $50 and an iPhone 6 Plus, the suspects fled in an unknown direction.

No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
