Suspects sought in aggravated assault that left victim with broken jaw

Police are asking for the public's help identifying suspects who they say committed aggravated assault in Center City.

On Thursday, February 8 at 4:20 p.m., police say a 23-year-old man was involved in a verbal dispute with four unknown suspects on the 1000 block of Pine Street. When the dispute escalated, the suspects allegedly began punching and kicking the victim in the face and body and stomping on the victim's head while he lay on the ground unconscious.

The victim was transported to Jefferson University Hospital for lacerations to the face and body as well as a broken jaw.

Police describe two of the suspects as black men between the ages of 20 and 25. Both stand around 5'11" tall. The first suspect is described as clean-shaven with a medium complexion wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans, black sneakers and white socks.

The second suspect is described as having a patchy beard with a mustache, medium complexion, wearing an olive-green jacket with a black hooded sweatshirt underneath, blue jeans and white sneakers.

Suspect descriptions were not provided for the two remaining suspects.
