Teen, woman killed in Camden shooting; 18-year-old injured

Two people are dead and another person is injured following an overnight shooting in Camden.

Shortly after 12:30 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to Von Nieda Park on the 2900 block of Pierce Street. Two women suffering from gunshot wounds were found unresponsive inside a vehicle. A 17-year-old boy who had also been shot was found unresponsive outside the vehicle.

All three victims were transported to a nearby hospital.

The teenage boy, who has yet to be identified, and 19-year-old Shirleen Caban, both of Camden, were prononuced dead shortly before 1 a.m.

The third victim, an 18-year-old woman from Sewell, is currently receiving treatment. The extent of her injuries is unknown.

This is an ongoing investigation. No arrests have been made at this time.
