Third day of Welcome America full of free events!

School is out and most people will have extra days off over the next week. It's time to take part in Welcome America events before even more tourists head into town.

July 4, Independence Day, is next Monday and the annual Welcome America festivities in our nation's birthplace started last Monday. Read on for information about *3* nights of fireworks and a whole lot more!

Wednesday, June 29:

6:25-7:30am: Go 4th and work out like Rocky, Train like Rocky on the famous steps with the November Project, a national fitness initiative. All ages welcome! Steps of Philadelphia Museum of Art, 2600 Benjamin Franklin Parkway

10am-5pm: Free Museum Day at the Rodin Museum, Enjoy free admission to the Rodin Museum, a Philadelphia icon administered by the Philadelphia Museum of Art housing one of the most comprehensive public collections of work outside Paris by one of the world's most renowned sculptors. 21st St. & Benjamin Franklin Parkway

2-4pm: Go 4th and Read, Join the Free Library of Philadelphia at one of their 54 branches for a citywide reading. The first 100 kids at each library will receive a free book thanks to Duffy's Books in Homes USA. Citywide reading at all Free Libraries

At the Kingsessing Branch, 1201 S. 51st Street (between Kingsessing and Chester Avenue), city Representative Sheila Hess and President of Duffy's Books in Home, Richard E. Quest will be guest readers.

7-11pm: Free movie screening, Rocky on the steps of Philadelphia Museum of Art. Yo! Don't miss this Philadelphia classic from the very steps that made Rocky a lifelong legend. Movie begins at dusk, but come early to get a good seat and enjoy the pre-movie activities. Don't forget to bring a blanket or chair. 2600 Benjamin Franklin Parkway

Thursday, June 30:

9am-8pm: Free Museum Day at the National Constitution Center, 525 Arch St.

10-11am: Presidential Convention History, 1848-2016, Philadelphia International Airport Terminal A-East for ticketed passengers only.

12-1pm: Wawa Hoagie Day, more than 5 tons of free hoagies, Independence Mall, 1 N. Independence Mall W.

5-7pm: Go 4th and learn about music and culture, Mummers Museum free all day, 1100 S. 2nd St.

7-11pm: Free movie screening, Creed, Tuslin Recreation Center, 5901 W. Columbia Ave.

8-10pm: free Mummer summer concert, Mummers Museum, 1100 S. 2nd St.

9-11pm: Free movie screening, National Treasure, Penn's Landing.

Friday, July 1:

10am-6pm: Go 4th and learn about fitness, Smith Memorial Playground & Playhouse, E. Fairmount Park

10am-5pm: Free Museum Day at the African-American Museum, 701 Arch St.

7-11pm: Free movie screening, Minions, Piazza at Schmidt's, 1001 N. 2nd St.

8-9:30pm: Philadelphia Orchestra free concert and spectacular fireworks display, Penn's Landing.

9:30pm: Welcome America! waterfront fireworks, Penn's Landing.

Saturday, July 2:

8-9:30pm: Pershing's Own Concert by the United States Army Band, Penn's Landing.

Monday, July 4:

10-11am: Celebration of Freedom Ceremony. Tribute with musical performances and inspiring speeches. Independence Hall, 520 Chestnut St.

10am-5pm: Free Museum Day at the National Museum of Jewish American History, 101 S. Independence Mall E.

11am: Independence Day Parade, Independence Mall, 1 N. Independence Mall W.

12-10pm: Party on the Parkway. Neighborhood pavilion and KIDZ BOP Kids. Benjamin Franklin Parkway.

5-10pm: Welcome America! July 4th Concert, free, Benjamin Franklin Parkway.

10pm: Welcome America! July 4th Fireworks, Benjamin Franklin Parkway.
