Transformer fire forces evacuations in Norristown

NORRISTOWN, PA (WTXF)- A transformer fire in Norristown forced the evacuation of a number of residents early Friday morning.

The fire broke out around 3:00 a.m. on Main and Barbadoes Streets.

Fire officials say they were checking carbon monoxide levels in several buildings.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
