U-Haul driver saves man critically injured in North Philadelphia shooting
NORTH PHILADELPHIA (FOX 29) - A U-Haul driver came to the rescue for a 24-year-old man who was critically injured in a North Philadelphia shooting overnight.
Just after 1:30 a.m., officers responded to Germantown Avenue and Broad Street for a reported shooting, but couldn't find a victim. Instead, they were met with bullet fragments, blood and bullet holes in nearby buildings and a parked car.
Police say the victim was shot in both arms, back and chest before he was discovered on the ground by the U-Haul driver.
The good Samaritan drove the victim to Temple University Hospital, where he is listed in extremely critical condition.
Real-time crime camera footage reportedly captured an initial fight between three suspects and the victim.
No further information has been released at this time.
