VIDEO: Moose runs through Boston suburb

WATERTOWN, Mass. (AP) -- A moose has been spotted trotting down the streets of two densely populated Boston suburbs.

Police in Watertown and neighboring Belmont posted video on their Facebook pages of the adult female moose spotted Wednesday morning. The moose stuck to the sidewalk in Watertown but ran down the middle of a Belmont street.

Belmont Assistant Chief James MacIsaac tells The Boston Globe he has seen plenty of deer in his 17 years on the force but never a moose.

A spokeswoman for state environmental police says the moose entered a wooded area of Belmont and the agency is monitoring the situation.

There were no reports of moose-related damage in either town.
