Wild Police Pursuit Caught on Camera

RIDGEFILED PARK, NJ (WTXF) A wild police pursuit is caught on camera in New Jersey.

Two different dashcam videos were just released by the Palisades Park police. The videos capture the dramatic chase that unfolded on Monday.

New Jersey police were in pursuit of a murder suspect who was wanted for allegedly stabbing his girlfriend to death in upstate New York. New York State called New Jersey police for help in the pursuit.

The suspect in the black Chrysler is seen on video weaving in and out of traffic going south on the Palisades Parkway before crossing into oncoming northbound traffic.

Police say he clocked speeds up to one hundred miles an hour at times. There were many close calls as drivers swerved to avoid the speeding vehicle going the wrong way.

The pursuit wound up coming to a halt when the driver hit traffic on the New Jersey Turnpike in Ridgefield Park. That's where police moved in and swarmed to make an arrest.
