Woman critical after being shot 9 times in South Philly
SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Bullets were flying and neighbors were ducking for cover along South 28th Street on Friday morning after two gunmen opened fire, leaving a 26-year-old woman shot nine times as she walked home from work.
Sources say the woman had just left work at the Fresh Grocer on Grays Ferry Avenue around 12:15 a.m. As she walked down the block, gun shots rang out. She ran for her life and collapsed two blocks away on Reed Street.
Police in South Philadelphia are now looking for the suspect, who used two separate guns in the early morning shooting.
The victim was taken to Presbyterian Hospital in critical condition.
No arrests have been made at this time.
